As mentioned in the previous review, this is a great starter uke for the price. Sound is bright, action & intonation all right.Nice looking. There is a risk of it not being properly set up for immediate playing. Purchased my pineapple before available from Amazon.com. This particular one was in good form. For the answers to the question re: solid or laminate..mahogony, laminated. Luna Guitars..please correct me if I'm wrong. I understand uke players have been inquiring in other uke sites, but did not get a response from the company.
